Testimonials

” Last year I found myself in a difficult situation.  My husband was stuck in Haiti due to the extreme gang violence and I was pregnant and alone in more ways that one.  Whether it was just someone to talk with in person, someone to hold the baby while I nap, or just help make my house a comfortable space, my doula was there.

I don’t think I would’ve survived postpartum without this nonprofit and am so blessed that my health provider referred me so that I could get the extra help I needed.  Will be forever thankful for this nonprofit.”

I received the best support possible. My doula was there every step of the way when I needed. She helped me stay informed of my choices and explained risks and benefits of everything happening and said. I wish I had come across them sooner in previous pregnancies. Definitely filling a need in our community.”

“Lindsay eased my anxiety immediately, the first time I spoke with her.  She listened to my concerns and didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. She responded with proven facts and let me decide. My family and I are forever grateful for the services that were provided.”

“I had the wonderful privilege of being paired with Meredith. She helped me find techniques way before birth. When I found out I had IUGR she came to my appointment to help be another listening ear so I could understand what the future held. The day I went into labor she dropped everything and came to help me. She helped me through each contraction with the techniques she had mentioned. She helped me understand what Pitocin was, how my contractions would feel and helped me through each one. I had to get an epidural and she helped me understand what all that entailed. My epidural didn’t work unfortunately but Meredith helped me every step of the way to the very end. Meredith was truly amazing and a sanity saver! Transformed Birth and Lindsay are wonderful things that this community needed! 100/10 would recommend!”

“The non profit helped me a lot throughout my pregnancy . Lindsay was there through it all. I text her for advice she answered almost immediately she even went out her way to make sure I had something for my nausea, she also was there when I was sick.  Besides that during my labor Lindsay was there I mean from beginning to end. I was so grumpy and she was so gentle and calm and reassuring.”

You armed us with confidence that helped us navigate pregnancy, labor, and those early first months as seamlessly as possible given our circumstances. Walking into the maternity ward didn’t feel nearly as intimidating as I had always imagined, and I owe that comfort to the knowledge and resources you provided. We are truly blessed to have been able to build a support network in West Lafayette — a relatively new place for us so far from old friends and family — and you, Lindsay, and Transformed Birth Services were an integral part of that support system. We really can’t thank you enough for your patience and kindness, enduring hours of endless questions from us new-and-only-just-slightly-nervous parents, and for being the place we knew we could (and still can) count on to have our backs when we needed it most throughout this new journey with our little one.”

As a person who came from a whole different state to move to Lafayette and being pregnant for the first time, I definitely felt some type of way since I wouldn’t know anything about any resources that we had in Lafayette.  I’m so thankful I found out about the community support group, they helped me a lot.”

I was previously rather nervous and unknowledgeable of labor, pain, comfort measures, postpartum and newborn care, however, after taking class I am now feeling informed, empowered, and excited for my daughters arrival! I can’t say enough positive things about Lindsay and will forever cherish having her out to my home to teach my husband, my mother, and I! I look forward to learning more from Lindsay in the future. I highly recommend Transformed Birth Services because I now have a beautifully transformed understanding of childbirth!”
